North Fork Gales Creek Large Wood Placement

May 2009 to September 2010

Fish Habitat Improvement

This project is located on a one mile reach of North Fork Gales Creek just upstream of the confluence with the main stem of Gales Creek.

One hundred logs were placed in the stream in groups of 3 to 8 to produce in-stream habitat for native winter steel-head and cutthroat trout and non-native Coho salmon.

This work was done in conjunction with a bridge installation by the Department of Forestry on the North Fork Gales Creek.
