Scoggins Creek

Coho are often seen creating redds just below the Scoggins Dam, a structural barrier to migration.

This shows the stream looking upstream towards the dam.

  • Early October (exact date unknown) – Water District employee, John Goans, reported that a fisherman hooked two big fish that broke the line in this spot.  They were probably Coho salmon
  • Week of October 17th – Tom Murtaugh and Josie Thompson (ODFW) surveyed the creek.  They didn’t see any salmon but did see some possible redds.
  • November 9 – Chris Toole surveyed the creek.  No salmon were seen but there were some possible redds.
