The Friends of the Refuge (FOR) mission is to support the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. We are dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Refuge for the benefit of fish and wildlife, and for public education and recreation. FOR goals include a) Expand the refuge to the approved acquisition boundary; b) Restore the refuge’s natural areas and encourage conservation of water, land and wildlife; c) Promote public awareness of our refuge and wildlife to preserve this natural heritage for future generations; d) Enhance the quality of life in our community; e) Participate in research on the Refuge; f) Raise funds for Refuge projects and programs; g) Create partnerships with community-based environmental & civic organizations.
