Tualatin River Rapid Bio-Assessments
Published 2013, 2014, and 2022
In 2022, the Watershed Council hired Bio-Surveys, LLC to conduct snorkel surveys to determine the distribution and abundance of juvenile salmonids. The survey covered 122 miles of river and stream habitat. This effort encompassed all mainstem and tributary habitats exhibiting significant anadromous potential in the Tualatin mainstem, Dairy Creek, Gales Creek, and McFee Creek.
The data collected is for informational purposes only and does not require the landowners to change any of their land management practices. The information will help the Council prepare meaningful restoration plans when they seek grants to improve habitat on willing landowner’s property.
